Terms of Service — Virus 404

Effective date: 2026-05-07

By installing or using Virus 404 ("the App"), you ("the User") agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on your Android device.

You may NOT:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Modify or distribute modified versions.
Use the App to create competing products.
Use cheats, hacks, or third-party tools to circumvent gameplay mechanics or monetization.

2. In-App Purchases

The App offers consumable and non-consumable in-app purchases via Google Play Billing:

Refunds

Refunds are governed by Google Play Refund Policy:

48-hour refund window for unused consumables.
Non-consumables (no_ads, premium_virus) refundable per Google policy.
We do not provide separate refunds — contact Google Play support.

Restoration

Non-consumable purchases (no_ads, premium_virus) restore automatically when you reinstall on the same Google account. Consumables (starter_pack, node_pack) cannot be restored — they are one-time use.

3. Virtual currency

Bytes, Nodes, and other in-game currencies have no real-world value. They cannot be exchanged for cash. We may add, modify, or remove currencies at any time.

4. User-generated content

The App does not allow user-generated content (no chat, no uploads). N/A.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for any illegal activity.
Attempt to harm the App's infrastructure (we have none, but legally noted).
Impersonate the App publisher.
Spread misinformation that the App is "real malware" — Virus 404 is a fictional simulation.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure beyond commercially reasonable efforts.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the past 12 months (typically a few dollars at most).

9. Disclaimer about content

Virus 404 is a fictional cyberpunk simulator.

All "viruses", "exploits", "hacking", and "malware" mentioned in the App are gameplay metaphors.
No real malicious code is included, used, or distributed.
The App does not teach actual hacking techniques.
Names of organizations (NASA, Bank, etc.) are fictional in-game references, not real entities.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Disputes will be resolved in Kyiv courts, unless mandatory consumer protection law of your country requires otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes = acceptance of new Terms. Material changes announced via in-app banner.
